For those of you that know me, you know I like my golf. I’ve played ever since my Dad got me into it as a kid and have loved it ever since. I was never one who took it seriously – who needs to practice a hobby, right? – but over the last couple of years I’ve found I actually really enjoy it and it helps me enjoy my rounds even more!
Lockdown 2.0 started in England yesterday. This means that for the next four weeks some of us will be back to spending more time with our families as we are advised to work from home if we can.
Today should have been my Wedding Day. It’s a weird feeling. It’s like a ‘Sliding Doors’ moment – you know exactly where the you without Covid would be, but you’re not, you’re somewhere completely different. I’m very lucky though, I’ve got a great fiancé and we both have great families and friends who’ve supported us and sent us wonderful gifts, for which we’re very grateful.
Ok, with everything else going on this year, I’ll be the first to admit that I hadn’t realised that Bonfire Night is just around the corner. Normally I love this time of year, going to watch a local firework display with a hot chocolate and pie and peas – what could be better? Of course, as with many things, this year will be different and not just because we have a dog who hates loud noises!
“As a motors business, we have to be able to quickly and easily respond to changes in the offers we promote. Radio offers us this flexibility and enables us to not only change the message completely, but also tweak it, if necessary, to reflect the local market. Liz helped us select the right stations and negotiated the packages we wanted. On top of that, Liz and her team keep extremely close tabs on the campaigns and the effects of the changes in terms of implementation and managing that process by changing the spends, copy rotations, etc. Their attention to detail is second to none and I knew I would be able to rely on them to deliver what I wanted from the radio and to keep on delivering it!”
ROB KEENAN – GROUP OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
“Liz really knows her stuff with the marketing. I felt that I was doing a pretty good job and did question whether I needed to appoint an external marketing agency. Liz was very persistent in wanting to have a meeting with me and in a moment of weakness I agreed. We immediately hit it off. I liked the client profiling work that Liz arranged (anonymously and based on postcodes), which told us our client demographic across our region. From this we could make more informed decisions about our marketing spend rather than my previous gut feel and back of fag packet approach. I really enjoy working with Liz and her team – they will be a key part of my marketing team going forward.”
CHRIS NEWTON – SOLICITOR & OWNER
“As a family business we really wanted to communicate our heritage, our history and our family values, and be proud of these elements without the need for too much detail. The strategy Liz presented was spot-on and co-ordinated our efforts internally, with our customer promises, as well as externally with our customers. We are looking forward to working with Liz and the team to develop these ideas even further and to achieving our objectives.”
JAMIE ATKINSON – DIRECTOR
“Liz pointed us in the right direction when we weren’t sure which way we wanted to go. What we have done has definitely worked for us and we can see the results on Analytics which we now have on in our office (just to see how many people are on our website looking at our cars!).”
SCOTT, CRAIG & IAN PARKER – DIRECTORS
“With her background in radio Liz was the perfect choice to help us develop our campaigns. Liz manages everything for us by making sure the campaigns are purchased effectively, run as booked, copy instructions are issued to ensure the right commercials are running and then analysing the results and delivering feedback. If you are booking radio now or even just thinking about it, you need Liz on your side.”
LEE CLARK – DIRECTOR
